About the Project
LubunTO Community Education and Engagement Project aims to organize community listening sessions where we will define the needs of LubunTO community members and eventually create a workplan and a resource kit to improve the settlement knowledge and self-advocacy practices of our members. The members will learn and practice the response mechanisms in face of discrimination, rights-based strategies in interacting with law enforcement, specific trainings for trans newcomers in advocating for legal and medical transition vis-a-vis government officials and healthcare providers, lastly system navigation tips for uninsured and international students in our community.
