Aisling Nolan
Re:Love | Toronto
Aisling is a circular design strategist based in Toronto, working at the intersection of design, systems change, and strategic foresight. She brings 15+ years of experience across strategy, organizational change, and service design, with a background spanning philanthropy, healthcare, and the social sector. With a Master’s in Design focused on Strategic Foresight and Innovation, her recent research explores how circular economy systems can become more accessible, practical and attractive in everyday life. She is particularly interested in designing the infrastructure, services and conditions that make more sustainable choices easier, and how local circular economy hubs can support community-level systems change.
About the Project
This project invites kids to bring creativity and imagination to reuse and repair. By bringing worn, ripped, or stained clothing, kids will have the opportunity to reinvent their items with colourful patches, playful designs, and tie-dye, making something old new again and normalizing using what we have over buying something new.
Aisling’s hope is to use this event as a pilot for the broader vision of building Toronto's first Circular Economy Hub - a permanent space that is part recycled mall, makerspace, repair cafe, and space for collective imagining.
