About the Project

Walk Together Ontario brings residents of all ages and abilities together to explore their neighbourhoods and identify barriers to safe, comfortable, and accessible walking. Through guided community walks, participants will use an existing digital engagement platform to document missing sidewalks, unsafe crossings, accessibility challenges, poor lighting, and opportunities to improve public spaces. Their observations will be shared through an interactive map and discussed in a community workshop. Residents will then work together to identify priorities and develop practical recommendations for municipalities and local organizations, transforming everyday walking experiences into meaningful civic action.
