About the Project
Shakespeare in the Parking Lot transforms an unused parking lot into a stage for community creativity. Anyone can sign up to perform a Shakespeare scene or speech, either solo or with a group, and present it in whatever style inspires them. Free to participate in and attend, the event removes barriers to performance and encourages connection, experimentation, and fun. The focus is not on polished productions but on making Shakespeare accessible, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone.
