About the Project

Belleville’s Big Draw Festival will join a worldwide movement celebrating drawing as a universal language that brings people together through creativity.

Local schools, galleries, libraries, community centres, cafés, and community organizations will transform everyday places into welcoming spaces for creativity, connection, and participation. Through art hives, workshops, exhibitions, discussions, and public drawing activities, people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities will be invited to experiment, collaborate, share ideas, and express themselves.

The festival will activate shared spaces through collaborative drawings and public artworks, creating opportunities to contribute, connect with neighbours, and build a stronger sense of belonging and community ownership.
