About the Project
EquaPal is a disability-led, dignity-centred social enterprise designed to improve access to assistive, adaptive, and medical-adjacent equipment through donation, safer matching, repair pathways, education and policy-informed data.
We are creating a circular assistive-equipment access ecosystem that connects unused devices, unmet community needs, partner expertise and repair capacity. Existing public programs and second-hand listings are fragmented causing many disabled people, seniors, people with temporary injuries, newcomers, low-income individuals and people without adequate insurance in Ontario limitations to access essential equipment when they need it. In the long run, we envision EquaPal as a trusted equality pal.
