Kathie Ho is a second-generation Vietnamese-Canadian who completed her BBA with a minor in Education from Wilfrid Laurier University. She first became interested in making spaces more inclusive after realizing how often community spaces overlooked accessibility. With a passion for both learning and teaching, Kathie co-founded AccessAble Spaces. This organization champions the idea that conversations and learning are the first steps towards truly inclusive spaces. As an Ontario Community Changemaker, Kathie is committed to promoting accessibility to ensure everyone, regardless of ability, feels that they belong and can fully participate in all spaces.
About the Project
AccessAble Spaces is on a mission to make community spaces welcoming for everyone. Conversations are the first step toward supporting individuals and organizations in creating truly inclusive spaces. Accessibility can feel complex, but we’re here to make it easier to navigate! From interactive workshops and practical resources to event-specific advice, we support the reimagining of spaces so that everyone can participate. We believe small changes can create a big impact to remove barriers and help people thrive. By raising awareness and sharing actionable strategies, AccessAble Spaces empowers anyone to foster environments where inclusivity is at the heart of every initiative.
